King County Elections conducted a risk-limiting audit following the August 4 Primary Election as part of Washington's post-election verification process. Julie Wise, King County Director of Elections, oversees election administration and procedures designed to ensure accurate and transparent results. When election results are lawfully challenged or legitimate questions arise, voters and candidates deserve a transparent process to verify the results in accordance with Washington law.

Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and repeatedly invoked his 5th Amendment right more than 100 times, declining to answer questions about the origins of Covid-19, federally funded research, and federal pandemic response. Senator Rand Paul announced that the committee would vote on whether to hold Dr Fauci in contempt for shielding culpability.

Today marks two years since the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. This solemn anniversary reminds us that political violence has no place in America. Governor Bob Ferguson signed SB 6346 into law, establishing a 9.9% tax on Washington taxable income above $1 million. The legislation represents a significant change to Washington's tax system and is scheduled to apply beginning with the 2028 tax year.
